Chris Loder MP has lobbied the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt for additional funding in his West Dorset constituency.

Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, has welcomed the Government’s publication of Unleashing Rural Opportunities – a set of initiatives designed to support housing and energy, connectivity and transport, communities, and economic growth across rural communities in England.

West Dorset’s MP Chris Loder met with staff and students at Budmouth Academy, Weymouth on Friday 12th May to discuss social mobility and improvements to the site’s buildings.  

On Friday 7th April, West Dorset’s MP Chris Loder hailed the launch of the new Rural Prosperity Fund as a ‘top-up’ to the existing UK Shared Prosperity Fund which was launched last year.

West Dorset MP Chris Loder has welcomed the news that Dorset will be awarded over £4.5 million to extend the Household Support Scheme, enabling Dorset Council to provide support for eligible households until 31st March 2024.

West Dorset MP Chris Loder has welcomed the approval of more than £6million of funding for Dorset. The fund is predominantly channelled towards the new UK Shared Prosperity Fund, with an additional sum towards the adult numeracy programme “Multiply”.
