West Dorset MP Chris Loder has welcomed the news today that the Yeatman Hospital’s Minor Injuries Unit at Sherborne will re-open five days a week from Friday 1st April.

Alongside a number of other Minor Injuries Units in Dorset, the Yeatman MIU has been closed since late November as a result of staff shortages during the Omicron wave of coronavirus.

Mr Loder said; “We have fought hard to see the Yeatman MIU reopen since the initial closure nearly two years ago following the initial onslaught of covid. I am so pleased to learn this vital service will very soon be welcoming people from in and around Sherborne once more.”
