Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, met with the cash regulator, LINK, last week to ensure access is protected in rural communities. It’s the latest step in Mr Loder’s campaign to protect access to cash, which many rural residents rely on for their banking and finances.
West Dorset’s water companies will soon face a fourfold increase in inspections as part of the Government’s plan to tackle illegal discharges and poor performance. Chris Loder MP welcomes the plans, which the Environment Agency has already started.

Dorset’s roads will receive a record 30% increase in road resurfacing funding, as the MP for West Dorset drives forward his road safety campaign. In the coming months, the Government will be distributing £2,914,000 to Dorset Council for resurfacing and maintenance work.
Chris Loder MP held a forum on the 1st March at Winterbourne Abbas for over 40 businesses and charities. Attendees of the Dorchester and Bridport Business Chambers asked Mr Loder about various topics, including hospitality funding, nutrient neutrality, banking facilities and fuel prices.
Chris Loder MP hosted a ministerial Q&A on the 29th February with students of Kingston Maurward College; the Minister for Rural Growth, Robbie Moore; and Baroness Rock. Current agricultural students at the college were also able to ask Mr Loder and the Ministers any questions.
